Dog wool gives the socks better heat retention and pleasant softness than usual, sheep wool elasticity and durability. Suitable for feet that need more natural heat than usual. In addition to natural materials, the special heat resistance is ensured by a genuine weaving technique that leaves more air between the yarns. Socks are knitted by hand on needles, not by machine. For the master, this is natural and the knitting technique itself is unique. Each yarn has its own thickness and the knitting starts at the edge to make the sock stretch better. As it is a long-lasting handicraft, it ensures the necessary softness and stretch.

The design of the socks has a functional advantage. The pattern is set so that the striped sock is elastic and stretchy. This makes it easier to pull. If the wearer should be a little difficult to bow, an easy pull on is very helpful.

The lower part is woven in a spiral groove. The stripes are gray, white and black dog wool yarn. The helical groin is well stretched. The blade part of the sock is dark gray. Small stripes on the neck. The color scheme is a bit more festive. These are more fancy socks for a person who does not want to wear a one-tone gray. Knitting only with natural materials and colors – that’s why it’s a natural color scheme. The white element is white sheep wool with white dog wool, the black element contains black sheep wool with black dog wool and the gray color is obtained from a mixture of black dog wool and white sheep wool.

Woolen yarn is of controlled local origin from South Estonian sheep, and dog wool has been collected from dog owners in neighboring villages. Dog wool is softer to the body, does not scratch as much as domestic sheep wool. Second, airy and soft dog wool is more effective at keeping warm and is particularly well-suited to aching body parts that need to be kept as warm as possible.

It is an environmentally conscious product based on the principle of sustainable management. Animal owners do not throw away their favorite pet’s wool, but make sure that it is used and continues to serve people.

The wool blends are processed into yarn with 130-year-old machines in the Süvahavva wool factory by the Võhandu River. The machines have technological peculiarity. They work slowly, do not pull apart wool fibers, so it does not begin to prick later and feels softer.
